Debate
Our Debate Club gives students a space to build confidence, sharpen critical thinking, and find their voice. Students learn how to research a topic, organize an argument, and speak clearly and persuasively in front of an audience. Through friendly practice debates, they develop active listening skills, learn to respectfully consider opposing viewpoints, and grow more comfortable expressing their own ideas. It's a fun way for students to build the communication and reasoning skills they'll use both in and out of the classroom.
Soap Box Derby
Our Soap Box Derby program brings hands-on STEM learning to life. Students work together to design, build, and race their own soap box cars, applying real-world concepts in engineering, physics, and teamwork along the way. From sketching designs to assembling their vehicles, students learn how to problem-solve, follow safety guidelines, and take pride in a project they built with their own hands. Race day is a highlight of the year, celebrating creativity, collaboration, and friendly competition.
Step team
Our Step Team celebrates rhythm, teamwork, and self-expression. Students learn choreographed step routines that combine percussive movement, clapping, and vocal chants, building coordination, discipline, and confidence along the way. Step is more than a performance art — it teaches students the value of practice, precision, and working together toward a shared goal. Our steppers proudly showcase their routines at school events and community celebrations throughout the year.
drama club
Drama Club gives students the opportunity to explore acting, storytelling, and performance in a supportive, creative environment. Members work on scene study, improvisation, and stage presence while building confidence in public speaking and self-expression. Throughout the year, students collaborate on rehearsals and performances, learning valuable lessons in teamwork, discipline, and creativity — all while having fun bringing stories to life on stage.
MBK
My Brother's Keeper (MBK) is a mentorship program dedicated to supporting the personal, social, and academic growth of our young men. Through mentorship, group discussions, and community-building activities, students develop leadership skills, positive relationships, and a strong sense of purpose. MBK creates a space where students can talk openly, set goals, and build the confidence and character needed to succeed in school and beyond.
podcasting
Our Podcasting Club gives students a creative outlet to explore storytelling, journalism, and public speaking through audio. Students learn how to research topics, write scripts, conduct interviews, and record and edit their own episodes. Along the way, they build confidence speaking on mic, strengthen their writing and communication skills, and gain hands-on experience with real recording and editing tools — all while sharing their voices and ideas with the school community.
